Texas Band’s Debut Dedicated to Relief Fund

San Antonio, Texas - The people most affected by San Antonio cover band Bella Fool’s Jan. 21 debut never even heard the group play. They were over a thousand miles away from the music, fighting for their survival.

All of the proceeds from Bella Fool’s performance at Bandera Bowl were donated to the Pan American Development Foundation’s Heal Haiti Relief Fund.

Bella Fool’s first-ever audience donated $10 at the door in exchange for live music and free bowling, which raised $900 for the Heal Haiti Relief Fund.

That money will buy urgently needed humanitarian relief such as shelter kits, food, telecommunications equipment and medical supplies for the people of Haiti whose suffering continues three weeks after the Jan. 12 earthquake that devastated the impoverished Caribbean nation.

Bandera, Texas residents Christopher Byman, Erik Hillman, Gilbert Rivera and Christopher Peterson formed Bella Fool in November, 2009. Before joining Bella Fool, these experienced musicians worked with platinum producer Ralph Jezzard and opened for well-known acts including Plain White T’s and Fallout Boy. Their music ranges from the ’70s to the present.

Bella Fool is part of Music for Relief, an organization committed to disaster relief and battling the effects of global warming.
